We are very happy working on our next project and we would like to share it with you all. This is no more than an open call for all committed illustrators, comic artists and photographers.
For those who still dont know, Watdafac Artifacts released its first issue of “Watdatoon Clasik Tributes" series about The Simpsons where a bunch of spanish artists paid tribute to this wonderful animated series and showed us their own version of this special family.
We are now putting things together our second issue dedicated to the almighty HANNA-BARBERA and we can’t be more excited about it because their cartoons have been a very strong influence in our lives.
We already have GREAT submissions from artists we have invited to be part of this project such as Alex Schubert, Berto Fojo, Mathilde Van Gheluwe, Paul Petzel, Derek Ercolano, Mario Riviere, Tommi Mosturi, Andres Magán, etc and many other fascinating artists that are still working on it.
The reason of this message is to let you know that we have decided to make this an open submission project so we can meet and discover other artists from around the world that we know we are missing.
If you want to be part of this project you just have to send us your collaboration to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, nationality, picture and a little text about you.
The format will be A4 VERTICAL ( 29,7 x 21 cm) and you have TOTAL freedom to do whatever you want. Deadline for sending the illustrations/comics/pictures/etc is APRIL 26th, 2014
Remember that whatever cartoon you choose has to be CLASSIC.
NO NEW CARTOON NETWORK stuff, please.
We are really looking forward for your art!
If you have any question please, email us.
We would also appreciate that, before submitting anything, you let us know which cartoon you chose so we dont end up with a book full of The Flinstons, for example.
